Tomáš’ Cake
Hellou hellou and Καλημέρα (Kalemera = Good Morning) to people around the world!
Yesterday was a really beautiful day. Blue sky and sun. Walking around from the abandoned concert hall to the old city of Tallinn, and then back again home. Listening live on the radio our friend Tomáš from Slovakia (streaming from Czech Republic =P ) and preparing an almond cake with yogurt.

Uhh thus for the receipe, you will need a cup of brown sugar & butter, couple of eggs, 200gr of yogurt, two cups of flour, a lemon, almonds of course, some raisins & vanilla. Ups, don’t forget the salt! The process is so simple as when you prepare a regular cake. Mix the ingredients gradually and bake it in 170 degrees C for less than an hour (depending the type of oven you have). And here you are. It’s really delicious! Enjoy!

Happy happy Clean Monday! Today, back home we celebrate Ash Monday. For me, it’s really important the fest mood of the day. Gathering all together, make up our own kites and compete which one will fly more high :)
In few words, Clean Monday is the first day of leaving behind all sinful attitudes and non-fasting foods. People used to taste halva, olives, taramosalata and lagana bread.
Futhermore, being in the mood of fest, I prepared a dish with receipe that my father suggest me with main-role-ingredient, the fish! The name of it sardines saganaki. It’s a simple dish. You will need around half kilo of fresh fish (if it won’t be sardines, you can use any similar small fish), little bit of olive oil, three spoons of mustard, basil, origano, salt & pepper.
First, sauté fish with oil over low fire. Then add water, just to cover fishes and then add all the rest ingredients. Cook in low hit and we can realise that fish is ready when the water will evaporate. Serve it with sauce of lemon & oil, eat black bread and drink ouzo with it. It will be delicious for sure!
Kalí órexi! (Bon Appétit!)
